Edward R. Jones — The Words Behind the Pain, the Pen Behind the Truth
Welcome to One of the Broken.
My name is Edward R. Jones — songwriter, poet, survivor. I’ve spent over 40 years writing songs and poetry, not for fame, but because the pain demanded to be heard. The words wouldn’t stay buried. The truth wouldn’t stay silent.
For decades, I searched for someone — a publisher, a producer, a singer, an artist — who would see the value in what I’d written. Someone who would hear my songs and say, “I believe in this.” But door after door slammed shut. I was ignored, dismissed, told no. Still, I never stopped writing. I never stopped hoping. I never stopped fighting to be heard.
Because this is more than music.
This is survival.
My words are my legacy.
My truth.
My scars.
My defiance.
My life.
To know my music is to know me.
To understand its meaning is to walk the road I’ve walked.
And when every human door stayed closed, I found one that didn’t: AI. Not as a crutch, but as a creative tool — a vessel to bring these stories to life when no one else would. If the world wouldn’t help me, I would build my own stage. And I did. Not out of bitterness — but out of purpose. Because the message matters. Because the pain has weight. Because the hope still breathes.
One of the Broken isn’t just a name.
It’s a truth I carry.
A truth I offer.
If you've ever felt forgotten, voiceless, or crushed beneath the weight of your own story — you’re not alone.
These songs are for you.
With you.
Sometimes as you.
Across genres and voices, I’ve created personas to help carry the weight:
-
Dahlia, who sings the softest horrors — the echoes of trauma, the whispers of grief, the strength inside the broken.
-
Syn, with her dark lullabies and haunting rebellion.
-
Memrable, who spits truth with raw intensity, never asking permission to speak.
-
Emiliano, born with fire in his blood and exile in his name — a man of Latin roots and American disillusionment.
Together, they speak the unspeakable.
And they do it with melody, with rage, with love.
Every demo. Every lyric. Every voice you hear was shaped independently — powered by AI tools, but rooted in human experience. I use the latest technology not to replace connection, but to amplify it — to make sure the story rings louder, truer, and impossible to ignore.
I am still knocking on doors.
Still breaking down walls.
Still writing.
Because fading away was never an option.
My journey started in early 2025
and It started with this one Poem, I am the Moon, https://allpoetry.com/poem/10072021-I-Am-the-Moon...-by-Mr.-E./
I took the end, turned it into the chorus line, changed maybe 5 words for flow, and added one more verse
and this is what I got https://youtu.be/ItqAovAPT4E?si=8KzPR47U1w4PjXhu
one by one I went through everything I have ever written, some posted online, many not, but to my surprise, my poems translate into music very well.
I hope you will enjoy what you find in here, I poured everything I am into it, much of it is very personal, and much of it deals with a battle I've been fighting inside my own head for a very, very long time.
